We are just a few short months away from one of the coolest movies of the year, Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem, and you can catch a new trailer here! In this follow-up to the worldwide hit "Alien vs. Predator," the iconic monsters from two of the scariest film franchises ever, wage their most brutal battle yet in an unsuspecting Colorado town. Yeah they’re making a sequel to a poor, franchise-ruining movie which not many people liked, but at least they seem to be attempting to correct some of the mistakes that were made with the first one. For instance Paul W.S. “not the good one” Anderson, architect of the original AVP, is nowhere in sight. He’s not involved in the sequel, not even a little bit. Instead they’ve brought in two first timers with a background in visual effects named Greg and Colin Strause, guys who claim to actually like the Alien and Predator movies they’re supposed to be basing their battle movie on. Can they direct? Who knows, but at least they’re not Anderson. Then there’s Fox’s apparent willingness to let this one be rated-R. For the first AVP, they watered it down to a lukewarm PG-13. They pulled in teenagers, but pushed the two franchises’s original fans right out the door. Now they’re attempting to correct that, by making this the R-rated horror movie AVP should have been.
Do we need an AVP sequel? I think we do, lets just hope that this time around it will have been worth the wait and worth watching. Take the poll at the bottom of the page and vote wheather or not you think Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem will deliver the goods!

The Creatures
Alien (Xenomorph) The adult Xenomorph is essentially a living weapon, noted for its ferocity and deadliness in any condition. It has strong, sharp claws and a blade-tipped tail. The Xenomorph's mouth contains double mandibles; that is, it has one mouth inside another mouth, akin to the pharyngeal jaws of the moray eel. The first mandible, which is similar to a human's, lowers and the second mandible is located at the tip of a proboscis that extends outwards from inside the first. It is rigid enough to penetrate bone or body armor with the secondary jaws at its tip. It is employed almost exclusively as a weapon to incapacitate prey, usually through head trauma. It can be seen when the Xenomorph opens its mouth slowly. The Xenomorph can kill its victim by using its claws or its tongue, which could rapidly bite and kill its victim easily; sometimes it can use its tail to stab the prey, as seen in the 2004 movie Alien vs. Predator and also in the 1986 movie Aliens, when the alien queen used its tail to impale the android, Bishop. Xenomorphs, once fully matured, possess great physical strength and agility. They appear to possess an intelligence roughly similar to that of a typical predatory mammal. Despite their ferocity and savagery, like any skilled predator, they are masters of stealth. A favored method of acquiring prey is to simply wait in a dormant state until an appropriate victim strays near and then drop down silently from behind. The prey is generally blind to the fact that a Xenomorph is present, due to its propensity to camouflage itself within its nest walls or the surrounding artificial environment given its biomechanical appearance. Xenomorph blood is an extremely potent acid similar to sulfuric acid and is capable of dissolving on contact almost any substance with alarming speed. In the movies (notably the first one) it is referred to as "Molecular Acid" or similar to it. However, as seen in the movie Alien vs Predator, the exoskeletons of the creatures themselves are impervious to their acidic blood. The creature also has the ability to spit this acid, though this seems to be a rare behavior seen only in Alien³ and Alien: Resurrection as well as various comic books and video games — it seems this is used to incapacitate prey rather than kill (although in one viewed case, it led to one victim's gruesome death). Xenomorphs can produce a thick, strong resin, previously used to build their hives and cocoon victims. Much like termites, they mix their viscous saliva with solids, like dead victims or dead/cannibalized xenomorphs. It shows amazing heat and moisture-retaining qualities, as seen in the hot, moist atmosphere of the hive in Aliens. Adult Xenomorphs are quick and agile, and can run along ceilings and walls, a skill they exhibit freely whether they are evading others, attacking, or hunting prey. They can survive in extreme temperatures, are well-adapted to swimming, and can survive in vacuum for unknown lengths of time. Their movement tends to be silent, and they do not radiate heat as their exoskeletal temperature matches the ambient temperature. They also salivate profusely.
Predator Predators (known in the fictional expanded universe as Yautja or Hish-qu-Ten) are a fictional species featured in the films Predator (1987), Predator 2 (1990), Alien vs. Predator (2004) and the upcoming Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (2007). The creatures also feature heavily in various other media including comic books, graphic novels and video games. Originating as the antagonist in the Predator sci-fi horror films, they are vaguely humanoid aliens who hunt the aggressive members of other species for sport. Predators are depicted as an extraterrestrial race whose civilization seems to focus on individual strength, exemplified in the concept of hunting. They are depicted as excellent warriors, pursuing the most dangerous species in the galaxy. Predators stalk and kill prey using various armaments, ranging from high technology smart weapons to low-tech blades and spears. Once they have defeated an opponent, they collect the skulls as trophies and mark themselves with the symbol of their clan (mark of honor). Predators have a long and involved history with many species they hunt, including Xenomorphs. Although the morals of their race are unknown, they appear to have some consistent form of honor. This is usually depicted showing respect and acknowledgment to powerful adversaries as well as an unwillingness to stalk weak, sick, pregnant, or unarmed opponents.
